Fifty years old wooden bowsprit is removed
Taken down with the crane
The bow will be reinforced with plywood and fiberglass
Two bulwarks are prepared
And fixed with layers of fiberglass cloth & polyester resin
The deck at the bow is reconstructed & reinforced
Meanwhile the new bowsprit is planned
3D plans are prepared with every detail
plans are forwarded to Murat Usta in Istanbul, for being constructed from 10 mm aluminium
the bowsprit is carried to Didim along with the water & diesel tanks
Bowsprit and windlass are lifted to the deck
And tried repeatedly
Positioning of the pulpit is discussed
